I am moving up the ladder here at Amberly at a quick and comfortable for me pace. I started as a lifeguard with promised promotion for August. My promotion was moved up to last week! I am enjoying the authority (who would have guessed that). My newest promotion is that I will be in charge of organizing and running all of the group and private swim lessons. I will be making a different rate than usual when I am organizing and doing things for the swim lessons. I am glad that people see the hard work I put into the lessons and that I am being praised for it. By summers end it is expected that there will be 15-20 year round pool contracts for managers for other neighborhood pools and facilities. I work for New Fitness Concepts that is contracted by the neighborhood which consists of houses, townhouses, and a retirement community. It is a pretty big neighborhood and as you can see by the size of the pool, a pretty big facility. There is the fun pool for the little kids which is only 1 foot deep which merges into a bigger pool that gets to 4.5 ft deep at its deepest. There is also a big slide for bigger more adventurous kids. We also have a 6 lane lap pool that has a little area where most of the swim lessons are held.
We had our first pooper of the summer! It made for an easy Saturday for me. Thankfully, I left Friday before the poop happened so I didn't even have to clean it up. Crista and I found an apartment, move in 3rd week of July. I will post pictures of the poop pool and apt once I figure it out.
I went exploring today. Filled up the Civ--a record breaking low 21 dollars to fill her up!! FANTASTIC! Gas is 2.60 here and its great. I found a Barnes and Noble, Kohls, Bed Bath and Beyond, Wally World, Best Buy, STARBUCKS, some more Bojangles and some other fun fun places.
